July 7 – July 21: “Testing” is the theme of this sprint. Not only did we make this sprint primarily focused on internal testing, but we also set a release date to our patrons to give them access to an exclusive sneak peek to our staging environment and become stakeholders.
Milestones:
- 2K new Instagram followers
- 115K profile impressions
- All time Instagram story view count
Bugs
This release note is going to be a brief one since we spent our two weeks squashing 62 bugs ranging from high severity to UX and color changes.
Deployment Pipelines
We also spent some time working on our release pipelines to automate our app and infrastructure releases without any manual intervention. This will reduce the risk of premature releases or misconfigured releases.
Android
We noticed quite a lot of questions and emails asking about android and we are extremely happy to announce not only do we have confirmation the app runs on android but the binary is also able to be compiled and signed to be submitted to google. In the upcoming sprint we will be investigating the possibility of hosting our private beta through google marketplace console for our android users to have private access as well.
Whats Next?
This sprint we’ll be giving access to the app to our patrons! This is a moment everyone in the DrivnBye team has been waiting for and we will be working diligently to fix incoming bugs, accessibility feedback and begin discussions amongst the community on future features and changes. We will also be investigating the possibility of extending our private beta to google play for our android users.
